About Us

FilmBayan is the resident film appreciation, promotion, and production cultural group of the PUP University Center for Culture and the Arts (UCCA). Evolving from its roots as a video documentation team, FilmBayan has grown into a dynamic collective dedicated to fostering cinematic culture within and beyond the university.

The group actively organizes film screenings, discussions, and workshops, collaborating with renowned filmmakers, cultural organizations, and advocacy groups such as the Urban Poor Resource Center of the Philippines (UPRCP), Tudla Productions, Pinoy Media Center, and Gabriela Party List.

As part of its commitment to film literacy and artistic excellence, FilmBayan also provides hands-on training in film production, aesthetics, and criticism, ensuring that members not only appreciate cinema but also contribute meaningfully to the field.
